Explore social work in London

Welcome to Social Work London. We are a website by social workers, for social workers, focused on London and its surrounding areas. London is a hub of bustling diversity and home to 33 London Boroughs.

Although each borough is unique, they face a range of shared challenges within the London context. Many of these issues are cross-borough and are addressed in different ways by different local authorities. Workers often circulate between boroughs, which are themselves in constant (and sometimes healthy) competition.

We aim to create a dynamic London-wide resource where social workers can share experiences, highlight innovation, promote good practice, and learn from one another. We want to foster a conversation in which both practitioners’ and managers’ voices are heard — ultimately for the benefit of service users, whether children or adults.
